Our client representation includes all matters relating to mechanic’s and materialman’s liens and payment bonds, including state public works (Government Code) and federal public works (Miller Act). Our attorneys prepare the necessary notices, affidavits, and bond claims to perfect the lien/bond or help the client with perfection, depending on the client’s instructions. When a construction lien or bond is not perfected, we endeavor to collect through other means, such as common law bonds and the Texas Construction Trust Fund Statute. We also assist clients in improving their position when the client is not protected by the Miller Act or other applicable statute.
