Governmental Defense

The Firm’s governmental defense lawyers all have trial experience gained while serving as Assistant City Attorneys, and have extensive experience in representing cities, counties, school districts, and other governmental entities and employees in both Texas and federal courts.

They handle a wide variety of matters, including wrongful death cases, actions brought under the Texas Tort Claims Act, constitutional taking suits, police procedure and pursuit cases, ambulance transport cases, Section 1983 cases alleging excessive force, unlawful search and seizure, and denial of due process, wrongful discharge/termination, class action cases for discrimination, whistle-blower suits, prisoner suits, premises defects, automobile accidents, drowning, and a variety of other matters involving federal and state claims.
